Next possible choices for Convoy 2015/27: Emirates #84 (MSN219) expected delivery 2016 Asiana Airlines #5 (MSN230) expected delivery 2016?(or 2017) Qatar Airways #8 (MSN197) expected delivery 201X Etihad Airways #9 (MSN233) expected delivery 2017 This is a very interesting situation, I think these 2 pieces are not part of the regular process/regular frames, thence not for MSN219EK, of the available MSNs not assembled would be MSN185BC, MSN196UN, could there be any of these but for what reason?... Could it be to be modified at TLS to be reallocated to Emirates?.... But in that case, could that not be done directly at XFW where the parts are built?..... Could also one of them be for a study on the forthcoming A380neo, but in that case why not convoy forwardfuselage and/or centrefuselage parts with it, and also in that case why a second rearfuselage part?.... Could that be an Airbus December's fool? As mentioned also if these parts could be for storage, where could they be stored at TLS?.... Hope to get some answers soon

Well, since the year is almost done and I'm not in the leading pack, I'm making a high risk bet. The two butts belong to Transaero. But, if Airbus is going to re-use it to build new frames for a customer, can I bet on it becoming part of a couple of EK frames?

To me, the answer is : none of the above ! I'll bet that these fuselage sections were initially built for a customer who did not take up the aircraft he ordered (either Skymark or Transaero). They are now being sent to TLS to be assembled for a new A380 customer, possibly through an Amedeo lease contract. As I have no idea about the customer's identity, I'll bet on TK, though I was tempted to chose ANA. Is this the first bet for an airline that never ordered the A380 ?

This is indeed finally an interesting situation for the game, with lots of room to speculate! I think, this is some kind of tidying up convoy, and will vote MSN185 (Ex-Skymark) + MSN196 (Ex-Transaero) Whether they will be stored in TLS, reallocated to Emirates, sold to Royal Air Maroc, Saudia, Turkish Airlines (ANA is never gonna happen ) is a different matter, though...

Er wait, only one Transaero MSN was built? OK, changing my bet to Skymark + Transaero, one butt each.

I stick with my bet that these frames are assembled for a new customer, but I want to word it differently : I bet that both frames are intended for a presently undisclosed new customer !
