It's confirmed, KE will be operating the 747-8 to London Heathrow. Operating 3x weekly from 2nd August 2015 to 31st August 2015. Then eventually daily from 1st September 2015 airlineroute.net/2015/03/03/ke-lhr-aug15/

All they need to do is to clean the dust and fly them back from the desert Simpler than that. Neither of them ever left. In fact, I don't believe either frame has engines yet. :-) Here is a pic of the flightline from Matt Cawby's blog a few days ago.

It appears, based off this article in Flightglobal, that KE is looking for financing for deliveries of their next 5 747-8s. The tentative schedule seems to be 1 747-8F in July, and a 747-8I in July, August, October, and November. It will be nice to see the two frames that have been sitting around for a while start to get some attention.
