Great pictures of the oldies stealthmanbob, and thanks for sharing. Since they are all from the same instance, I thought it would have been better to put them under a single thread titled your visit. If not, they're going to be lost in the various unrelated threads despite all being connected to the same source.

Some of them are not that old ! I tried to post most of my pics from today under relevant existing threads. But the 146s / RJs did not seem to have one, so I created one.
If you think it would be better, perhaps you could create a Kemble UK Cotswold Airport thread where you think it fits. I Live only 20 miles away so can visit As and when I want, I could then post my pictures to that thread. But may be the demise of the BA B747 GBNLZ should still go on the general B747 thread ?

It's up to what you think is best. Personally, I think a Cotswold Airport thread under "Aviation - others" would be nice. Like this example: a380.boards.net/thread/891/newark-airportFor discussion on the scrapping aircraft, we did have a separate thread but it is in the A330 folder: a380.boards.net/thread/188/boneyardMaybe the mods can move to "Aviation - others" as well. We will have plenty more scrapping of other aircraft to talk about in the future.

I am not sure, a lot of the aircraft at Kemble are in storage / or furbishment and will live again like the A321s and B737s and RJs
I guess it's best if I create a Kemble thread under Aviation other for the boneyard one ?

Today was the last commercial flight of a SWISS Avro RJ100 from LCY to ZRH: Some of my favorite pics i took in the last couple of months of this cute little aircraft: I got the chance to take part of a „farewell“ flight from/to ZRH next Sunday with the last remaining Avro which will shortly thereafter be phased out. If you don‘t mind i‘ll share some more pictures then as for sure i‘ll take many

Some information pictures of yesterday's "Last Flight" for the SWISS Avro RJ100, nicknamed Jumbolino by defunct airline Crossair in Switzerland. We took off at 11:04 in Zurich (ZRH) and landed back there at 13:03. We did a bit of sight seeing in Switzerland, some of the famous places we saw were the Matterhorn, the Aletsch Glacier and the Lake Lucerne. I set on seat 9A, which was gladly not right next to engine but a bit behind it. This was our flight plan:

The Avro with Reg. HB-IYZ was first delievered to Crossair in early November 1989 before it was taken over by SWISS in 2002 after Crossair and Swissair merged into SWISS. It flew nearly 40'000 flighthrs in service for SWISS (Crossair) - 40'000 is the limit usually for these Avro's. As the CS100 & CS300 were that much delayed which are replacing the Avro's in SWISS fleet it was extened to 60'000 allowed flighthrs. HB-IYZ will gladly not go to the scrap yard.
Some of my favorite pictures from yesterday:

Great pics of what is certainly one of the more interesting regional aircraft out there and the scenery around Switzerland is great as well!. Sad to see them flying into retirement. I know they're considered as one of the quieter aircraft out there but for those who have heard/flown it, how does it compare to the modern regional jets?
