I need to get to the patent office ASAP I have solved the problem of cowlings flapping off ? Put the hinge at the front of the engine so it opens sideways and not to the top, save weight as you don't need Springs / dampers to hold the cover up. The airflow would then help keep the cover closed. I think I will be able to retire properly on this idea ! A320s cowlings are sometimes lost in flight not because they fail, but because they have been left unlatched after maintenance. This should be noticed during pre-flight walk-around, but you must crouch to see that it is unlatched, and sometimes it is missed. I already posted about the latch problem and the fact that the engine on one side is more of a problem as it needs checking from between the engine and the fuselage, the other side is more obvious as its on the outside ! Its where the oil needs topping up ?

It's obvious why BA retired the B737-4 last month ! They could have painted out the logos / tail fin first

I guess you meant subsiduary ? Why on earth would you let them fly old planes around in your livery ? Bonkers, accident waiting to happen, oh it just did, with your brand name on the side of the plane ! Twitter etc now show pictures of BA plane incident !

They have started acquiring a few 738s which are once again painted in the BA livery (and their winglets have the tail livery on them as well!)

Don't worry they still have time to remove the front fuselage / cockpit section and re attach a new one
