219 did her 6th flight as AIB219F, back after 3 hpours 35 minutes. Looked like a perfect CAF.

3 weeks after the last flight, Emirates does not look to be in a hurry to take new frames,.... Emirates took MSN218 a week ago and put it into use straight away. One frame each week would be a bit to much.

I am wondering whether Emirates has hit the limit of Dubai airport. I know there are 47 gates suitable for A380 operation in Dubai, but I don't know the absolute limit of A380 they could physically operate without causing huge delays and ground/air space operation problem. The following article explains the limitation of Dubai pretty well. www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2015-dubai-a380-vortex/Out of the 142 orders, was that the last 30 or 50 were for replacement of older A380?

I believe the limit at DXB was 115 A380s.

I believe the limit at DXB was 115 A380s. Yes, based on the original plan to have a more mixed fleet, Sir Tim was talking about how many A380's can be crammed into the existing tarmac space. EK will have a more homogeneous 777/A380 fleet by the end of this year for the foreseeable future. FlyDubai is relocating totally to DWC by the end of 2017, plus there are some other airfield and ATM enhancements they're in the process of implementing. All this translates to DXB being able to accommodate a fleet of up to 140 A380's along with about 160 777's by 2020.
