Airbus has designed and built a new painting plant for the A350 XWB in St. Nazaire in France. I understand that the St Nazaire paint facility is a prototype created to develop a new process, Airbus intending to replicate that process in other Airbus paint shops.

why is the test registration F-WZFE missing on the production list? (~ MSN55) The first aircraft with F-WZFE test registration was delivered right after the first one with F-WZFD. But still, it hasn't been re-attributed to another aircraft..

From what can be read of the following article without a paid subscription, Airbus will increase the MTOW of the standard A350-900s to 280T (the ULR already has a MTOW of 280T) and will feature a 2% improvement in fuel burn with 1% coming from aerodynamic improvements and 1% coming from something only paid subscribers can read. These changes will be offered on aircraft built after 2020. aviationweek.com/awincommercial/airbus-offer-280-tonne-mtow-a350-900

Meaning all A350-900s built from 2020 will be ULRs?... Or would the ULR get a bigger MTOW?..
