June Orders Undisclosed, 8 A320neo, 7 A321ceo, Undisclosed, 5 A321ceo Undisclosed, 3 A320neo, 4 A321neo Cancellations; 2 A320ceo, 5 A321ceo, (I'll try to see who are behind the cancellations a bit later) So, 27 gross narrowbody orders (or 20 net orders) were booked in June. YTD net order total is 183. Airbus still trails Boeing (YTD 288) this year.

With the current delivery rate, it looks like Airbus will deliver it's 10,000th aircraft at the end of September 2016.
That would be a huge milestone for Airbus, and what a great achievement!
My money is on that frame no. 10,000 to be an A380 (delivered to Emirates) or an A350 to one of its customer with large order (Singapore, Qatar, Etihad and Cathay came into mind). I just can't see that they allocate an A320/A330 for such milestone with a big celebration.

I just wonder if some interesting orders will come in Farnborough. We might see the EK 359/78-10 order. EK will need those planes for sure. But something else ?
True is that the book/delivery ratio was well over 2 for few years so.......

It's too soon for the EK order, they don't need the aircraft before 2024/25 anyway (when EK moves to DWC).
Airbus said there will be several A350s orders. VS perhaps?

The Reuters piece above now also predicts the announcement at the Farnborough air show of the Virgin Atlantic A35K purchase.
