Being repeatedly deployed to a certain destinations is not new for EUM. The aircraft, for some apparent reasons, have been doing that pre-covid. And it continued to do so at some point post-covid as well. It’s on the EK133/134 DME rotation today, I didn’t think Moscow sold premium economy? That was one of the routes it was stuck to post its refit. I’d love to know the reason why - something mechanical perhaps or something to do with flying into Russia?

As far as I know, only 4 EK A380 are allowed to fly to Russia (lessors decision).
They are: EDM, EDQ, EER and EUM.
EK need two frames daily for their services to DME; because EDQ (since january) and EDM are undergoing maintenance, EUM had to fill the gap.
This is the information I got, but I can not garantee if it is true or not.
