Two questions:
1. Why not to XFW?
2. Only when going to XFW on first flight 43K feet is reached, not when first flight = "local" flight. Why?

We seldom know the reasons for unusual production events ... Yet it's fun to speculate !

It was already known to us before the flight that it won't continue to XFW. Linie 9 post this info 3 hours before the take off. So nothing unusual for me.

Data collection from the engines?..... No need, the engines transmit data directly back to Derby in real time

Ferry flight to XFW was planned wednesday evening, then cancelled later on thursday morning, reason unknown. Weather conditions were/are extreme but no reason to stop.

We seldom know the reasons for unusual production events ... Yet it's fun to speculate ! MSN 225 is an HOV, it's the first EK frame with RR engines. It's not just a case of putting RR engines on, the pylons are different the engine management systems are different the electronic control systems are different etc etc .....
