Thanks for the information Fabien. From my point of view is very late (Q3 2018). So only Qatar will receive the A350-1000 in the first half year from 2018.

The tweet does not say Q3 2018 at all. It just says IAD will be launched with the new A350-1000, not that it will be the first A350-1000 delivery.

All it says is: Nowhere can be read that first delivery will be in Q3. It doesn't even state that IAD will be the first A350-1000 route. The tweet is about launching IAD with the A350-1000.

One would expect A35K will be depolyed in regional routes first before Cathay really streching its legs to US east coast.
