"Lufthansa Technik has been carrying out a full-life repair on one of the German carrier's A380s at Frankfurt since February, and says the work takes 40-50 days." Now left's find out which one is on the ground for almost 2 months. I think Tim Clark said Emirates precautionary will take 8 weeks (almost 2 full months) to fix the wings but he also said Singapore Airlines was able to complete the work within 40 days.

So to summarise: -the permanent fix of Wings already produced with the old design, for both aircraft in service and aicraft in production, is going to be approved momentarily, -the production of new designed Wings has started at the end of 2012, but will eventually not be certified before 2013-Q2. I enjoyed the style, even though the writer probably could not tell a B 787 from a F 35 ....

I would imagine that MSN117 has the old Wings, as most likely it was built before MSN137..... Fabien

Airbus does not build parts and then store them all over Europe because the customer wants to delay the delivery. It's an ongoing supply chain, it does not work that way. Air France delayed the delivery of MSN117 some time ago so the construction has begun later. We also know that MSN numbers are not built in sequence.
