How far behind is Airbus in A320neo deliveries? Is Airbus catching up or falling behind? Casual counting brings me to at least 35 neo with GTF and 10 neo with LEAP being late. Has Airbus slowed neo frame production or are there 40 gliders waiting for engines. I think Airbus is currently at 46 frames per month production rate, that would make 230 frames the first 5 month. With about 180 A320 series delivered up to now this year, there are also 50 missing in the delivery numbers.

Airbus 2017 target is ~ 200 NEO deliveries (give or take a few). We should find out on December 31 Until then, we can just wait and see. I suppose there will be another delivery push in December.

Yeah most likely. I have got 49 NEO Deliveries so for this year, so beating last years number (66) will be easy. One would think that we shouldn't see any aircraft in storage by the latter half of the year.

The culprit are the engine manufacturers - AB can for sure make ceo or neo all the same now.
So those 200 i.e. 150 from now is a bit over 3 month production, so.....

P&W's official engine delivery targets are for the full year. We may have a growing stock of engineless frames parked in TLS now and in the next few months, but most of them will receive their engines before year-end, in time for a 2017 delivery.
Let's hope 2018 will be a normal year.

Let's hope 2018 will be a normal year. Probably not. Programs are vulnerable as long as they are in a ramp-up phase.
