The aircraft above carries a 'MRTT 33' tag. I didn't know MRTTs carried such a special number, on top of their serial number.

The aircraft above carries a 'MRTT 33' tag. I didn't know MRTTs carried such a special number, on top of their serial number. Actually it's MRTT033. Sometimes the MRTT0xx stickers are the only ID on the aircraft when flying from Getafe, acting as registration. Below are a few you may have missed MRTT MSN 001 747 002 951 003 969 004 1036 005 1183

Thank you, Peter ! I did understand the meaning of the number, but I did not know the MRTTs were sporting it while flying. I suppose the numbers refer to new-built aircraft, not those that were converted to MRTTs from a used commercial frame (two Australian ex-QF aircraft).
