14 B787-10 (listed price $338.4m, total value $4.7376b) 11 B777-9 (listed price $442.2m, total value $4.8642b)
The listed price total value is similar, so SQ is getting similar discount for both type. But SQ claim it has deferred more than $3b capital expenditure, that doesn’t add up. For both type, we know 45-55% discount is the usual range and SQ as a long term loyal customer normally negotiate good deals. So the overall price for these frames should be below $3b.
SQ Group remaining unfilled B787 orders:
SQ - 29 B787-10: 3 frames built (LN1000 testing, LN1068 storage & LN1080 prep), 8 more allocated for FAL (LN1122, 1126, 1144, 1148, 1155, 1157, 1161 & 1165) so likely parts built at different stages. Then 4 more to come and rest of 14 converted. TR - 2 B787-9: not yet allocated for FAL. TR - 3 B787-8: LN1015 & 1065 both been built and in storage, 1 more to come.

Another extract from the flight global article.
"SIA Group also discloses that it will take 11 more 777-9s in lieu of 14 787s.
This brings the total number of 777-9 orders to 31 examples, while the 787
family now comprises 20 orders, including five examples for low-cost unit Scoot.
The swap in orders will allow SIA Group to “respond to changes” in its projected
long-term fleet needs beyond its 2025 financial year.
The announcement comes after it formally reached agreements with both Boeing
and Airbus to “revise” its delivery schedule, though it did not indicate a timeline."

The deferred $3bn probably includes pushing back deliveries of B787s still on order as well ?

The deferred $3bn probably includes pushing back deliveries of B787s still on order as well ? With the current trading environment, I doubt Boeing dare to ask for deferral fee. If Qatar can ask for a discount when a delivery frame is sitting on the tarmac, Boeing would do everything to save a cancellation of order. I believe the value of this conversion is around $2.5b or just under, not over $3b as they claim.

According to Boeing orders website SIA converted another 2 787-10 orders to 1 787-8 and 1 787-9 for Scott operations. Currently SIA has only 8 787-10 in backlog. Scoot has 3 787-8 and 4 787-9 on order.
