British Airways orders up to 42 777-9s British Airways is ordering up to 42 Boeing 777-9s to modernise the UK flag-carrier’s long-haul fleet. All the 777-9s will be powered by General Electric GE9X engines, and the agreement includes a “comprehensive” support package, says IAG. IAG chief executive Willie Walsh says the 777-9 is the “ideal replacement” for the 747.

Don't be misled. This is China showing Boeing a nice fruit, hoping that the company will lobby against a trade war.
