Article is not clear to me. Are they going for the A359 or A35K or both? The article is unprecise because no decision has been announced. The author claims to be privy to the decision to choose the A350, not to be informed of the product mix, which may not be decided yet.

18 A330neo ! The A330neo has been unusually successful last month ! Have we any idea about the A339 undisclosed customer ? EDIT : I just realised that this issue is being discussed in the 'A330neo' thread.

Or because they have some other order in the works, and prefer to disclose both at the same time, to outline their fleet strategy ?

I guess already by simple SEC rules Delta is not allowed to hide any firmed order.
