I am still try to figure out what is the best way to deal with these frames. Should they stay on the thread of the airlines that ordered them or move them to the new airlines "delivered" thread. If we do the later, how can we keep track since the thread name will change. I will try something and need everyone's opinion please. I think the question now is what information does this site want to provide. Is it about production and rollout and delivery of new frames ? Or Providing an upto date fleet listing of which frames are being operating by which airline ? If I wanted the later I would probably look at planespotters.net Well said! And planespotters.net is designed for that purpose, and this side is not (frame based). We all know that some frames will change hands many times during their service years, will we keep moving frames for that purpose? I can see that became very messy.

The easiest way is to close the thread for posting at the original owner and copy the information to the new owner keeping it open for posting there. We are not talking about frames having spend a reasonable time at the first owner and than get sold of to a secondary life, we are talking about new frames changing owners, mainly because the old owner went bust or is at least in big trouble,

Or it looks okay like this.

We can have a poll on this. But I think it looks good as is right now. I don't see an issue moving threads around when frames changed hands (note changed hands means ownership change or new long term operating lease, no need to move threads for sublease like the QR-LATAM sublease). In fact we've been doing this for A320 family for years and started doing it for 737s this year, although in those cases we move posts instead of threads (In facts moving threads will turn out to be easier). This way it's easier for new poster to find the corresponding thread when they want to post info on the frame. For example, for a second hand LATAM bird that goes to DL, new poster will naturally want to go to DL sub board to find its info. Just my two cents. Thanks a lot for reorganizing this addasih!

Agreed. simple and clear for all. It doesn't make sense to leave the thread on the topic of who ordered this aircraft, just like two people are divorced and you still have your ex-husband's last name, make no sense, move on!
