I same to the same conclusion, they will use the first 3 or so frames to properly train these employees. Also to troubleshoot any and all kinks in the assembly process. My next question would be...is Delta getting an additional discount on these early frames out of mobile. I watched a documentary on Piedmont airlines and one of their dash-8s was assembled during a strike....it had all sorts of operational problems...

I don't expect quality problems at Mobile. The fact that they have a slow initial production rate should help reduce the risk. This isn't an industrial face-off situation.

Always big words from Sylvain I understand the foaming event corroded just 1 single frame, and that it was supposed to be the 1st one delivered from there, for Delta, now it just mentions that the 1st one delivered from there will be another MSN.
