The jury hasn't yet reached a verdict, therefore no decision has been made yet.

hey guys, do you think there will be the traditional "first metal cut" for the XLR? Airbus was also working on a all CFRP wingbox, think it will be incorporated into the XLR? No, Airbus has listed all the changes introduced with the -XLR. The wingbox remains unchanged.

That's what I was thinking too, at least for that part of the sentence, though I guess I should have quoted both parts then,
isn't """jury is still out" on the A321XLR and the carrier is "not interested in operating low cost long haul"."" some kind of contradictory then?...

isn't "jury is still out" on the A321XLR and the carrier is "not interested in operating low cost long haul" some kind of contradictory then?... There is no contradiction, since part of the sentence is about the -LR, while another part is about the -XLR. "Mr Murphy said the A321 LR is a 'good airplane', but the 'jury is still out' on the A321 XLR and the carrier is 'not interested in operating low cost long haul'." As I understand it, Peach has already decided to take the -LR ('a good airplane'), but isn't fully convinced yet by the -XLR because long haul low cost flights are not part of its plans.

Up to that please do not forget the owner and I am VERY sure the owner will not allow any LCC LongHaul done by its daughter to canibalize on its own business

I never imagined I would ever read a comparison between an A321 version and an A345 !
