This is probably a shout to all Dash8-(Q)300 operators (Air Canada included). I don't believe a 3-class 50-seater can make it though, not even maybe 2 classes might work. Don't even know if there is any current 50-seater operators right now that provide Business/Premium seating, is there?..

Can it go that quick, entry into service this year?..
From the fg article , a new type certificate will require some flight tests and some time to obtain the type from the Agencies, will that only take a few months?..

Can Bombardier actually make, outfit, certify (new config only) and deliver 25 by year end ?

Maybe they can just reconfigure a existing CRJ700 into the CRJ550 interior configuration? Possibly for 25 deliveries by year end they may not be all New builds ?

If they are only doing reconfiguration of old CRJ700s into a 50 seat version CRJ550 then it probably does not deserve its own thread 😟
