Gov't relaxes rules for re-using Jet Airways aircraft Quote CH Aviation - "The Indian Ministry of Finance has waived customs rules for aircraft previously operated by Jet Airways (9W, Mumbai Int'l) to facilitate the takeover of the aircraft by other airlines, the Business Today has reported. The Indian customs law, in general, would require all aircraft previously dry-leased by Jet Airways to be flown to the country of registration of the lessors and then imported again to India for a new customer. However, as Air India and SpiceJet have already expressed interest in taking over some aircraft, the government has decided to waive this requirement." www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/77423-govt-relaxes-rules-for-re-using-jet-airways-aircraft

We really need to change the thread from 'problems' (what a euphemism !) to something like 'end of operation'.

How much is Jet Airways worth ? In My Opinion the answer is less than zero ! Quote CH Aviation - "Potential investors in Jet Airways (9W, Mumbai Int'l) are worried about the loss of value of the carrier as rival airlines scoop aircraft and staff, and the government reallocates slots at congested gateways, The Economic Times has reported." www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/77564-investors-worry-about-value-of-jet-airways

How much is Jet Airways worth ? In My Opinion the answer is less than zero ! Of course ! No equity, no valuable unencumbered assets, huge debts, almost no aircraft left, a huge useless workforce .... Jet Airways is a bottomless pit in which no investor would drop any money.

Even their Heathrow slots are going to be leased out now ! Quote FG - "Etihad Airways is seeking to lease a number of former Jet Airways slots at London Heathrow to Air Serbia this summer. A bulletin on the website of UK slot co-ordinator ACL, dated 26 April, states that Etihad is seeking permission to lease 14 weekly slots to the Serbian flag carrier – in which it owns a 49% stake – for additional services to Belgrade." www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/etihad-seeks-to-lease-former-jet-slots-to-air-serbia-457884/

Wasn’t that anyway a «sleeping» order?
