An Antonov An-124 is expected at Heathrow around 6 pm local on Jan 22 to pick up parts and continue to Miami. Update: I hear it's only the engine cowl that is picked up.

You don't need a AN 124 for just a cowling ! Must be the engine as well, similar to the Qantas 5 engine flight. Engines with fluids in can't go internal on a pax flight, the cowling could ?

The aft cargo door width is 2790mm (109,84 inch), exactly the same as the RR cowling. No fit. The forward cargo door measures 3110mm (122,44 inch) so that could fit.

This is what someone at BA said on Twitter, but my first thoughts were about picking up a new Trent too. Maybe we get to see what goes inside the Antonov

Someone BA graduate who knows nothing about aviation sent the message ! Let's be cautious. The flight might have already been scheduled for some other reason, BA just seizing the opportunity to add a small payload such as an engine cowling.
