So we should maybe put them in General Chat?.... Fabien I don't think so. The general chat is intended for discussions focussed on topics other than production (sales, opinion, speculation, miscellaneous issues). Production of parts, on the contrary, is about the first stages of production. We could try to open a "suppliers and parts production" section. In time, this section might attract new members working for suppliers. Alternatively, we could have a "pre-convoy" section including news about suppliers, parts production and ship movements. We might also have a section dedicated to aftermarket activities (MRO). Later in the A380 program life, this section might include discussions about used aircraft sales. All this however depends on our members' ability to feed the threads ...

In the section "Other aircraft", there are fora for Bombardier, and for Douglas/McDonnell-Douglas. But nothing for other manufacturers - of which there are several, both present and past.
Where should the "other" aircraft go?
Also, Boeing has fora for 4 models, but there are and have been others. They may not individually have the volume to warrant separate fora, but a designated place for "other Boeings" would seem appropriate.

In the old forum we had the same topics. I understand adding Bombardier because of the C series but for now, I think we are covering the most exciting existing models. Just my opinion.

Reading the posts above I think:
- We should have a "Pre-convoy" section for parts currently under construction (like MSN137 & MSN152) and other news about suppliers etc.
- We should not have an "aftermarket activities" section for the moment, the forum is not big enough. Such a section could be interesting once the A380 enters the second hand market.
- No need to create a 767 / 717 / 727 section in the Boeing section but a "General Chat" section instead would be welcome.
- Finally a "Any Other Aircraft" in the Other aircraft section. I would even rename the current "Douglas/McDonnellDouglas" to "Any Other Aircraft". The Bombardier can stay.

Agree with XWB. I think "Other Aircraft" can be used to cover DC/MD, Embraer, Russian and Chinese makers etc.

Right now we would have MSN137 MSN152 and MSN141..... I still think it might be suitable to put them in the General Chat, temporarily, waiting for them to be convoyed?...... Fabien
