Or EUH, as the frame itself is an ULR version, and I know that EK would want to spread this livery around the world. EOI is LR.

It seems that neither EOI nor EUH are the one with the paint. We will keep an eye on this. Meanwhile Dubai Airshow has announced to be participated aircraft for this year, including an Emirates A380. And I reckon that they will bring the A380 with the space decal there. www.dubaiairshow.aero/aircraft-list

In the interview with Andreas Speath, Sir Tim corrects himself. He now says the first two A380’s will be retired in 2020. During the media roundtable in London on September 4 where I was present, he at first said two had been retired, later corrected this to ‘in the process of being retired’. Although a few are stored at DWC, no Emirates A380 has actually been withdrawn from service or deleted from the register. His remarks on the landing gear and lessors are identical to his in London.

Interesting remark about renewing the leases if the price is right. Is this all just another doubledecker bazar bargaining?

Interesting remark about renewing the leases if the price is right. Is this all just another doubledecker bazar bargaining? They could also negotiate with leasors to buy the undercarriage sets of returned A380 so they can refurb them rather than buy new sets at $25m per A380 !

Interesting remark about renewing the leases if the price is right. Is this all just another doubledecker bazar bargaining? I am convinced EK will have no choice but to extend a large number of A380 leases. There is no same-size replacement, and the Dubai airport is severely constrained, so that most EK A380s will have to soldier on for many, many years.
