MSN137 was finished with Body Join after 5 weeks of TLS, as other frames from other airlines are already ready to switch to FALstage2 after 5 weeks. Though, I remember having the same comments ("looks late") for a couple of new last operators (MH and BA), pictures showing the first frame apparently pretty late, but/and eventually the frames (HoV) were rolled out in a fair amount of weeks: 15 and 14 weeks, which is pretty good for HoVs. I guess then maybe for HoVs, BodyJoin+FALstage1 is longer, and FALstage2 shorter than farther frames... Fabien

see in the far bay (as seen from the viewing balcony) today 19th June. I was not on a tour so only saw it through a partially open door. I could not see the engine status

Thanks again UK380!! If MSN137 follows the same FAL time than the last HoV (MSN095) (=14 weeks), it should roll out by mid-July. Fabien

From a documentary about the A380, I've learned that every airline has its own 'build manager' in TLS (did you know that EK has its own office in TLS?). This person follows the assembly process from body join to paint roll out and makes sure quality is in place. Being a new customer, it is possible that the QR 'build manager' needed some extra inspection time before he was happy?

Other than missing one engine, for me it looks complete

There might be not only 1 engine missing but 2 or 3?... Though first time for me as well to see an A380 with only one engine on one side I think hehe..... Why would they change station right in the middle of FALstage2?... Looks good anyways!! Fabien

Being a new customer, it is possible that the QR 'build manager' needed some extra inspection time before he was happy? Has Al Baker (Barker?) taken a road-trip from Paris lately?
