It's an option they have but no decision yet. Hopefully they stick to taking the Whalejets.

Nicolas Bertrand, in charge of AF' fleet, talks (in French) about the A380 at AF. www.journal-aviation.com/actualites/28487-cinq-ans-d-airbus-a380-chez-air-franceAmong other things, he says the company is very pleased with the aircraft, which has allowed AF to realise large economies of scale. Many airports are not ready to receive it, but some (Mexico and Rio) are investing to this purpose. Nevertheless, AF now lacks adequate routes to use the last two A380s it has on order. Deliveries have been postponed to the post-2018 period and discussions are still going on with Airbus. The two options have been cancelled.

Just checking: seeing the thread and posts in October 2014 about the two A380's that were postponed, is it any news then that this is confirmed in the 2015 consolidated financial statement?
'The Group substituted at two A380s on order, three A350-900s.'
