I was told by the (charmante) guide today that MSN002 was now property of Airbus, as Prince Al-Waleed had denied buying it, and the rumored resell by someone else didn't end anywhere, so it is now just back at Airbus in storage. Fabien Not sure how accurate is this. Why it is still showing in Airbus order sheet?

Fabien Oh well...what can it be used for now? Would anyone else be interested in it as a private jet?

See my earlier post. The Forbes article seemed conclusive that MSN2 is now Saudi owned.....It may be jetted away at any time (once engines refitted!) for outfitting to meet the 2015 date, if the Saudi heirs apparent agree on its use. BTW it is significantly overweight but the original contract for sale to Allaweed stipulated the max weight over design as well as RR engines and performance......... JT

Thank you, julytourist. Actually, as private or government jet sales usually are not advertised, we cannot be sure of the exact legal situation (people sometimes change plans ...). Even registration may lag behind paperwork, since this frame is not flying.

And also those jets make much less hours so the higher weight i.e. higher consumption might be compensated by lower price to get rid of the item which otherwise is unsalable - like those 787. The final owner might be than even economically better off.
