It might explain why MSN145 has not been ferried to XFW yet.

Strange thing with Qatar at the moment... it seems they are also not keen to take 787s at the moment: "ZA469 (LN 129, A7-BCH) for Qatar Airways spent a long time being painted (and repainted), first in Ft. Worth, then at Boeing's paint facility in Portland, OR. I assumed that it was now ready to finish production flight tests and be handed over to the customer but it has been hauled back inside 88-30 in Charleston for unknown reasons. There are several more Qatar Airways 787s waiting to fly and to be painted but are sitting on the flightline at Boeing Charleston. It appears that Boeing will not deliver any 787s to Qatar Airways this month." Source: nyc787.blogspot.de/Is Qatar "just" not able to add more planes with the existing airport infrastructure or are there other reasons?

Is Qatar "just" not able to add more planes with the existing airport infrastructure or are there other reasons? There is a serious airport infrastructure issue, at least for A380s (see my January 16th post upthread). I don't know whether airport delays also are holding 787 deliveries, but QR 787s have had quality issues (some of them were improperly painted, among other issues), and QR is a very demanding customer.

We 'll hear more and more stories highlighting unpleasant aspects of life in Qatar, as the country's economic expansion and its ambition to host sports events place it under the spotlight.

I wouldn't support Al Baker and his ridiculous system. Give me Emirates evry time.
