HNA financial problems show no sign of subsiding. 10,000 employee's job are at risk, out of current 40,000 HNA work force.

HNA companies are healthy, while the group experiences a liquidity crisis, forcing it to sell assets (companies, buildings ...). Buyers will just run their newly-acquired companies, it will make little - if any - difference to the workers.

Don't worry too much about the aviation asset of HNA Group..Basically, no danger. Besides, it always takes time for the clearance (kind of certificate) of the first deliveries in a new year.

Don't worry too much about the aviation asset of HNA Group..Basically, no danger. Why ? They are forced to sell assets, they have no choice but sell whatever can be sold quickly. Which assets qualify for a quick sale, I don't know, but I would nor rule out an airline sale.

Which assets qualify for a quick sale, I don't know, but I would nor rule out an airline sale. So what would that change if HNA would sell some of their airline assets? So question is really only will the HNA group be liquid once again or not. The single airlines could exist also without being owned, or partly owned by the HNA group, if they are profitable. Regarding sales, I assume that the airlines are not the easiest assets to sell fast for good price. The main trouble for the HNA group seems, that they have spread out to thin, in to many different areas. Consolidation to airline operation only could be a good way out of the financial difficulties.

I agree with you, Mjoelnir, the airlines can live on their own. Somebody has got to own them them, though ... The alternative to aviation sales seems to be real estate sales, but that may not be quicker, especially when all potential buyers must be waiting for a firesale.
