4 of 5 a330-300 built for HX are currently in TLS (msn 1863, 1865, 1874 and 1907), only msn 1902 is in TSN: Read a rumor somewhere that some if not all will be taken by indiGo to launch longhaul routes, especially London

Can A330-300 in predicted 3-3-3 configuration reach India-London ? It is going to be close to the max.range...... 330-900 for sure can.

Before recent changing to B787-9 on London-New Delhi route, Virgin Atlantic used to use A330-300 on this route.
Virgin Atlantic also used A330-300 on London-Mumbai route since 2012, so range is not an issue for A330-300 on UK-India operation.
Edit: I don’t see a 3-3-3 configuration would make huge difference comparing to a VS 2-4-2.

I don’t see a 3-3-3 configuration would make huge difference comparing to a VS 2-4-2. I'm sure that passengers feel the difference in comfort, and that airline managers like the additional revenue ... I can intuitively believe that 8-abreast commands a higher yield, but not necessarily for the same airline.

We were purely talking about the range of A333, my friend, you took my words out of that context completely. That's why I don't like partial quotation.
