I have been disappointed so many times that I now refuse to speculate about A380 rumours. I hope this one is true, though ...

Indeed it is a very nice picture... This is the first time I've ever seen a picture with nacreous hues on a jet contrail. Stunning catch. That's a Korean Air A380, is it?

As for the pictures, IMO this one comes close too: Nice colour on the contrails but what throws me off on this new picture is the well lit white belly against the black background. It doesn't feel as natural as the first KE contrail.

With Airbus looking at LR versions of the A321 and A350, could the ex Skymark A380s be converted to LRs ? They have less seats so less passengers so less baggage ? With some extra fuel tanks I wonder how far an A380 with 440 paxs could fly ?

What would be new would be to use them for short range ... - No Skymark A380 has been fitted out yet ; they can be fitted out according to any buyer's specs, though some 'plumbing' may have to be re-done.

Interesting, so a 750-800 pax version config then ? That reminds me of the B747SRs that JAL used in the 70s/80s they were short haul only and config for 560 ish ?

It looks like ANA is not going to take those A380 .... since they would need the simulator
