And now for the article itself: A bit strange reasoning. BA can't use QR aircraft to AUH. So why not on any other 787-route? Seems more like QR has no aircraft available for lease to BA.

Very unreliable article. Airbus O+D says 377 A340's were built. Also A340-500/600 entered service only 6 years ago ??

But the airline stopped the A340s from flying, 3 out of 6 A340s are still in Manila which 2 of them are painted in all white Edit: RP-C3439 being ferried to SFO maybe for storage RP-C3436, RP-C3437 was withdrawn from use
