That's a dubious proposition, in my opinion. Whatever the configuration, economics would be extremely challenging. Is it worth investing in new interiors for that aircraft ? Some airlines kept 747-400 going. Using a A340-600 can hardly be less sensible. Certainly, but the point in discussion was investing in new interiors.

Very long wet lease of 2 a340-300 to LOT, because 787 RR engine issue; Currently LOT wet-lease 3 a340-300 from Air Belgium for TATL routes to YYZ, ORD, EWR and JFK:
