The Beluga XL carries a lot of bulk, but not a lot of weight, so the engines should be fine !

Any idea yet when and where they will start building the Beluga XL? If the first one is MSN1824 then the donor A330 should roll out in approx two yrs time ? Not sure where the modification will be done ? Where were the A300s modified to make the exsiting Belugas?

I think this will be new frames build as Beluga straight away. Not frames build first and than cut off to make space for the new pieces. The old Beluga were used frames.

Would that not disrupt the A330 FAL if you try and build a bespoke frame on the same line ? Eg the dropped cockpit, enlarged fuselage and opening Front door, larger tail etc etc ? Also how would you get the large fuselage sections to Tolouse in the first place ? I would build a standard frame and then fly it out somewhere to be modified ?
