I believe the first service bulletins are being applied. ALB was out of service too.

ALA seems to be back to flying Doha-Frankfurt after a stretch of Doha-Singapore only. it seems as though ALA has flown the majority of this route (Doha-Singapore). is it a result of the aircraft being the most mature in the fleet, hence venturing out on the new route or is it simply due to the operations schedule for their A350's? www.flightradar24.com/data/airplanes/a7-ala/Cheers, Romaan

A7-ALA as QR947 from Singapore (SIN) to Doha (DOH) diverted back to Singapore This is the first instance of an A350 diversion AFAIK. Wonder if this is a precautionary one or if it actually involves some glitch that warrants landing ASAP.

This is the first instance of an A350 diversion AFAIK. Wonder if this is a precautionary one or if it actually involves some glitch that warrants landing ASAP. We have seen already something like that: VN-886 24.07.2015 Hanoi (HAN) --> Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) VN231 Diverted to SGN active again on same day as VN270 SGN->HAN and A7-ALD 02.09.2015 Frankfurt (FRA) -->Doha (DOH) QR70 was canceled. On the next day A7-ALD was on the way from FRA to DOH and was "rerouted" to FCO. This was technically no diversion.

Hmmm, not looking good at all... For the way back to SIN they descended to 20,000 ft. What could be the reason for that? Cabin pressure issue (leaky door?), engine shutdown, ... ? edit: Just saw on Qatar homepage the status of QR947 shows another scheduled flight with the same number on A350 later today, although with a massive delay. Maybe whatever happened can be fixed quickly. I think a replacement aircraft they might send would probably not be A350, right? edit 3 hours later: Maybe not... flight seems to be cancelled now...

I hope we will be able to find more detailed information! For now all A350 flights Doha <-> Singapore are using an unusual more northerly flightpath .... One example: QTR943

Maybe there really were some adverse weather conditions over the Andaman Sea or the Bay of Bengal, and A7-ALA was damaged inflight - so that as precaution QR (and EK) rerouted their following flights on the northern route. Today, the QR flights resumed the almost straight line between DOH and SIN again. Anyway, flight QR947 (the same that went back to SIN yesterday) is canceled for today as well - indicating ongoing repairs to A7-ALA?
