If this comes true, and Doric firms its MoU, 2013 could turn out to be a record-breaking year for the A380. Are we now going to see a string of "the A380 a runaway success" threads on a.net ? That should shut up that Abdelloafer.....

If that order of 50 finalises, the last ones might be deliverable by 2019, could some of them just be to replace the oldest ones?... Fabien

Qatar orders 5 A330F + 8 options. I am very pleased with this order. I claim bragging rights, since I think I was the only one (was I?) forecasting a QR A330 order at this airshow !

Airbus confirms Etihad order for 50 A350s, 36 neo and 1 A330-200F www.etihad.com/en-au/about-us/news/archive/2013/etihad-airways-announces-order-for-up-to-117-airbus-aircraft/40 of the A350s will be -900s (the first time the airline has ordered this variant )with the other 10 being the -1000. The neo order consists of 26 A321s and 10 A320s edit; interesting comment from the press release "It also provides the unique opportunity to redirect new aircraft orders from Etihad Airways to members of its equity alliance, airlines in key markets around the world in which it holds minority shareholdings. This will enable capacity to be assigned where and when it is most needed, while improving fleet commonality and sharing significant cost synergies." This might explain why so much of the A350 order was for the -900, where the 787 will do the same function in EY fleet. Fingers crossed some will end up with Virgin Australia.

Rumor says Doric will firm their A380 order during the air show. And maybe Cathay will sign for some 777X aircraft too.
