So what's new?? Msn 332 is already in the FAL Just updating my previous post, as there is a much smaller break in assigned MSNs for QR than I’d realised. Geoff

Although QR is taking regular A350 deliveries the five lowest MSNs still to fly are all for them.
237, 241, 249, 257, 266
Looking forward to seeing this change over the next few weeks.

Geoff The point is that Qatar takes regular deliveries, I think not less than 1 a month. After MSN266 the next MSN seems to be MSN332. That is quite a jump, about 6 month worth of production, and the first point where I expect Qatar deliveries to catch up to the MSN number row.

Continuing progress with the pre-assembled QR frames although I’m not convinced they will all be gone by the time MSN332 is ready to go. This would ‘normally’ be around July.
For the -900s we have
214 delivered 237 on Flightline after first flight 249 being painted before joining the Flightline 257, the last -900 on order, in Final Assembly
For the -1000s
215 delivered 229 on Flightline after first flight 251 on Flightline waiting first flight 266 assembled undergoing ground tests
In addition QR has taken MSN 265 on lease from LATAM

There is a reasonable hope that we might soon see an end to the practice of QR frames spending a long time in production. There is a long break in QR MSNs between 266 and 372 which should allow the 8 QR frames in production to be delivered before any more enter production. We shall see ? -900s are 214, 237, 249 and 257 -1000s are 215, 229, 241 and 266 After 257 only -1000s remain on order. Geoff With two deliveries in March and two more in May there remains a chance that all the previously assembled QR frames will be delivered before MSN332, the next newly assembled QR frame can be delivered. The other four frames are 241 ( delivery centre ) , 249 ( flight testing ), 257 ( in assembly ), 266 ( outdoor ground tests ) The probability is that MSN 332 will also be delayed or overtake one or more of the lower numbered frames. However the situation has improved significantly. Geoff

However the situation has improved significantly. There has been no problem at all since Airbus and QR settled their differences on the narrowbody order. The broad settlement included a new A350 delivery schedule, which has been implemented without any significant hiccup so far.

MSN 241 now delivered and 249 and 266 should follow soon. If 257 and 332 can be delivered in the next couple of months as well then all the former delays will have been resolved. Geoff
