Together with deferring the A380, not taking the A320neo it could also mean that Qatar searches for every excuse to delay frames.

And don't forget the one they refused to take because there were no Hoover stripe marks on the carpet

Together with deferring the A380, not taking the A320neo it could also mean that Qatar searches for every excuse to delay frames. It is quite possible that financial constraints force QR to slow down deliveries of new aircraft, while AAB does not want to acknowledge it.

So next try for me to fly on the A350 in the far future. February 2017 MUC-DOH. And I´m realy exited about this Trip. I will fly nonstop Doha-Auckland :-) world´s longest flight with 14.538 km :-)

Interesting comment from Akbar Al Baker about the range of the aircraft. The longest route currently served by QR's A350s is ADL at 6109nm, 373nm short of ATL at 6482nm. This distance however does not factor in winds and the A350 would probably be able to make ATL but at what payload restriction.
