Most important are of course the pure numbers. How many NB are there around and how many WB. It is close to one order more.... I think it's approximately 3 to 1 for Boeing and Airbus (not including RJs from other manufacturers).

I understand United Technologies' stance. P&W is heavily committed to several narrowbody programmes that are still a few years away from producing significant returns. They need an additional revenue flow from these investments before they consider new developments.

True but, consider the up-front revenues from the sale of either engines too. Narrowbody engines are also said to be very low margin sales. Generally, widebody sales are considered to be more profitable to an OEM.

In 2013: AB delivered 493 NB planes + 108 A330 + 25 A380 i.e. it is 986 NB engines + 316 WB Engines - 3.12 WBe/NBe BO deliverec 440 NB planes + 24 747 + 175 other WB i.e. it is 880 NB engines + 446 WB engines - 1.97 WBe/NBe Total it is 1866 / 762 i.e. 2.45. There might come in the question of utilisation, cycles etc. .....

I would willingly attach some pics but I cannot. Can anyone fix it? We are working on Chinese 737-300 now and I can make some spares and engines photos.
