Should be MSN 39, followed by MSN 32 at the end of August.

Looking at the production/deliveries for CX's A350 IT seems like the leased ones are going through the outfitting faster than those ordered directly from Airbus? I.e MSN34 passing MSN32, and if I understand it correct MSN39 is leased, and had passed MSN38? I assume the interior is the same, so it is all about Airbus (or CX) prioritize the leased ones?

You are probably right, someone, I wanted to post the same idea, but I was too lazy to check which frames are owned by CX, which ones are leased.

And where is the sense of this ? You get your new plane and pay the $1m monthly fee to the lease company, rather than get your own plane and pay Airbus $120m !

You may need more time to arrange the funding of a major purchase than to finalise a lease contract. Some airlines (I don't know about CX) also have some differences in configuration between their leased and owned frames.

Like Vietnam Airlines, Cathay takes first 2 frames leased from Aercap (msn 29 and 34) before next frames directly ordered from Airbus.

What is not obvious is why AIRBUS works faster on the planes bought by the leasing company than on the ones bought by the airlines.....
