The next phase should be performed by MSN 5. This frame was initially scheduled to fly in May. The small delay seems to be holding up the flight test programme, though this probably is a minor issue.

I would have thought that they'd be doing at least half a dozen flights, but two's good enough I guess. The route proving with MSN5 would do the rest.

They did 4 flights with the 380, I expected something similar for the 350

Maybe the original plan was to do 2 with MSN2 and 2 with MSN5, considering that the two cabins are different. At this stage they probably still have a good set of data with the opinions of around 500 passengers and two sets of Cabin Crew which should give them some sort of indication of what works/ does not work and what the various users like/dislike. Now it's time to wait for the NSELF (Not So Early Long Flights, a term I made up 5 minutes ago )!

It seems that Airbus used their best employees recommended by their managers to test these flights. Airbus Used Its Best Employees as Guinea Pigs for Its New PlaneThe writer does have a point with this comment... I groaned after reading a few reader's comments below too...like the one discussing the use of the best employees to test the safety.
