I think they should build another 8 or 10 engine variant as well.

Uhhhh huh - hard to imagine and believe It would not be building second piece - I am sure most of the components are not available anymore - of course they can be replaced but it will cost.... also the engines ?!?!?! On planes.cz there is (in czech) an article written by one of the mechanics and he says that on ALL visits ever made to PRG or PED there was always heavy service-repairs - almost always was something broken.... There are almost no computers all is hand made control of the plane to fly, crew of 7 men needed to operate..... and more.....

Is the AN225 cargo bay pressurised during flight? from the link posted AUG.19 - few messages above.... As for the size of cargo compartment, its length is 43 m, its width is equal to 6.4 m and height is 4.4 m. The cargo compartment is pressurized which allows transporting different types of cargo.16 standard containers, about 80 passenger cars or even large trucks like Belaz can be loaded inside the cargo compartment. There is enough space for Boeing-737 to be placed inside.

Also the AN 225 is just a stretched (in two ways!) version of the AN 124. The fuselage was stretched, and then the original wings of the 124 were extended at the wing routes to widen the span and allow the extra two engines, you can still see evidence of this on current pictures. It looked better when I saw it at PAS 19?? With their version of a space shuttle on top Edit - if I can track down my photo of it I will post it later !
