Those were still Hong Kong's ten before? Yeah, never part of CASC or central procurement system in China.
Another example of HNA doing its own thing, not part of the state system.

China must be the very key country for more A380 orders and for the program future. Now with the new airport in Beijing coming up they could order several dozens. Maybe those used Emirates frames could find new homes in China?

Maybe those used Emirates frames could find new homes in China? All major Chinese airlines don't prefer second hand frames, especially money normally is not an issue for them. BTW, only MU and CZ are moving to the new airport. CZ is struggling with their A380s over the years, and MU has no interest on A380 so far.
I think BA may see opportunity with second hand EK frames, they prefer ultra low rent.
