I'm not sure if Airbus took over the rest yet. If that would be the case I'm sure Airbus would have also send out a Press release because that would be a major thing. But clearly Bombardier is still struggling. So we will have to wait and see what they will do with the rest of their Assets.

I'm not sure if Airbus took over the rest yet. If that would be the case I'm sure Airbus would have also send out a Press release because that would be a major thing. There is an agreed date at which Airbus can exercise a purchase option to buy out BBD. From memory, that's in three years. I may be wrong but I failed to find Airbus' release on the company website. clearly Bombardier is still struggling. So we will have to wait and see what they will do with the rest of their Assets. BBD is committed to funding a very large part of the investments in the ex-CSeries. The effort is huge for them, and an increase may wipe out whatever profits they expected to make in the next three years. The market reaction isn't surprising. In the longer term, however, BBD may enjoy a higher price for its minority stake in the partnership with Airbus.

The following article was posted by aviationrookie in the 'Airbus A220 - general discussion' thread. It covers most of the problems discussed above. www.flightglobal.com/air-transport/bombardier-considers-divestiture-of-a220-shares-as-programme-costs-increase/136214.articleI wish however to point out that Bombardier's purported desire to divest its stake in the ex-CSeries programme would require an entirely new agreement with Airbus. Would the latter agree to shoulder all future A220 development costs, and acquire Bombardier's remaining stake immediately for one Canadian dollar instead of buying it at a higher price later ?
