But I heard the iron bird completely failed, forcing Bombardier to test and debug the software on the real hardware (the test beds). Whoa...what. How did they manage to bungle the iron bird test??? From the Montreal Gazette:

The CSeries has been getting some positive attention in the past couple of weeks or so. The CS300 is on track, and there are a few big name customers evaluating it, like United Airlines. Aboulafia probably feels it is his duty to quash any of those developments.

Incredible. How many other aircraft programmes have there been in the recent years, that went bust just after first flight... (I understand they said "paused" here, but just a question)

BBD obviously intends to prioritise CSeries development. The move eases the group's funding issues, at a cost.
