The bar part was perfectly reasonable and I think should be a very good feature of today's premium travel for socialising or just to get out of your seat and hang around somewhere where it doesn't feel awkward. But the shower talk was quite cringe-worthy. I mean it shouldn't be a nightmare inducing situation when you are unable to have a 5 minute shower on board in first class. of course not, but I think the emphasis is on the demeanor of the flight attendants which might be a symbol for the notoriously mediocre overall experience you get on most flights operated by US carriers and the fact that there is not a single US carrier even seriously considering to buy A380 aircraft. While employees' rights etc. are certainly debatable, US carriers simply cannot compete with the overall product the gulf airlines (among others) are offering. So while they are running highly profitable operations, they're still complaining about how Emirates et al. are unfairly subsidized instead of just trying to match the quality of the product. While I don't have recent experience with flying on US carriers (other than United, the ones I've flown with don't even exist anymore), I would choose a European or ME carrier over a US Airline in almost every conceivable scenario (at least as far as my personal experience on booking transatlantic flights is concerned, the US Airlines rarely even offered the cheapest fares...).

So when it's complete it will made up of five pieces, including the floor ? 4!!! one on the top, one on each side, one at the bottom. The floor is build in a different way. You have two load bearing floors, passenger and in the belly cargo. the company which produces the side panels for the rear section is also manufacturing one of the floors: link I would assume that this is the "passenger floor"?

Scheduled delivery TLS-CPH is September 25 Seems to be on its very first revenue flight CPH-ORD right now: www.flightradar24.com/SAS943/7948d41 (just noticed this because I will be on this flight in about two weeks, hoping to be on one of the two recently delivered aircraft as well)

hm, I think this is the picture which gives the best impression of the "real" look of this aircraft so far. Most of the pictures posted before made the livery look somewhat "shiny" which it probably hardly is. Having flown on SAS' A340s several times, I must say that this probably would be the perfect livery for AirFrance as it looks dirty anyways (to put it in positive words, you could say that it hides more dirt than most other liverys do). BTW just hide the red paint on the engines and the three white letters on the tail, and you wouldn't even remotely assume that this could be a commercial aircraft, but rather one used by military or an aid organisation.

yeah... how cool to see A350 in Iceland... quite unexpected. I have a filter in flightradar24 for A350 and A380s only and here I see one around KEF... just a 100km from my home Baroque: this post might cause you to update this list and heavily boost Iceland's position, just days after securing their first ever appearance at the UEFA Championship next year.

I wonder how QR is doing on LFs to Frankfurt. sorry for asking a potentially dumb question: What is " LFs" supposed to mean?

“We’re also pleased to be the only commercial airline to offer a daily, First Class service to travellers on what will be the world’s longest non-stop flight.”
...as if there was another Airline offering the world's longest non-stop flight, too (just not daily or with no First Class available).
