Now that we know the 1st 2 (long haul) destinations for BAW A380s, which next would be likely candidate? JFK?.. Fabien

No that we know the 1st 2 (long haul) destinations for BAW A380s, which next would be likely candidate? JFK? I would imagine so. Maybe SIN/SYD too once BA takes more deliveries.

I was a little surprised JFK wasn't 1st but I guess the Razzmatazz of LAX was too big to ignore & I'm sure that BA will have many celebs on the A380 shuttling between LAX & LHR (though they have missed out on the Beckhams, I still expect them on an early flight!).
SIN/SYD I think could be a real possibility as many Aussies I know like this route & QANTAS will no longer offer it, just depends on the competition with Singapore Air.
I'd like to see Vancouver or Toronto or Jo'burg but I'm not sure if the routes are dense enough, possibly Dubai? I could see Virgin putting one on to Orlando! We Brits love Disney World!

I would imagine so. Maybe SIN/SYD too once BA takes more deliveries. Seeing a BA A380 in Sydney would be great however it will take quite a few frames to operate that route daily. Judging by the current 744 schedule (soon to be a 77W) it takes at least 3 aircraft to make it a daily service. After the Qantas-Emirates partnership, BA ended codesharing with QF and instead started codesharing with CX on Australian routes. The loss for BA from the end of the QF partnership was quickly regained through the CX partnership. (Maybe this was part of the reason that BA will soon send its A380 to HKG). What we might see, if BA orders more A380s is having the A380 to HKG continue on to SYD and discontinuing the SIN-SYD route. This will also help CX as I believe they are at the upper end of the number of the number of SYD flights they are allowed (currently 4 daily to SYD). Having BA codeshare on the route will enable CX to offer greater frequencies and keep Australian flights on the A330 instead of upgauging it to the 77W which is needed as a 744 replacement. As much as I hope to see a BA A380 in SYD, I think it's unlikely until we see more orders for the aircraft.

Quick message.. As I work at Heathrow Airport, Iv been told by a British airways Pilot that they will be sending there A380 training flights to Manchester from Heathrow. Also on top of that BA are planning to resume flights to Kuala Lumpur, Addis Ababa and Lahore. Can anyone see this happening?
