I'll sum it up for those who don't manage to go around the paywall : Leahy said he expects a first customer to sign for the new version before year-end, whereas AA said they are interested, but will not be that quick to decide.

Has the A321neoLR been officially launched yet, I thought it was just a rumor?.....

This version has not been officially launched yet, but it is much more than a rumour, since Airbus has been pitching it to airlines for some time. As the first reactions are said to be very good, the launch decision should come soon.

Correct philidor. The official launch will follow as soon as Airbus has found a customer (which could be as early as this month).

Most probably it will be if they "almost" announced it.

Has the A321neoLR been officially launched yet, I thought it was just a rumor?..... Airbus has started offering it to customers, something along the lines of an ATO. But, I think the official launch will come with a customer order.

A lessor being the first to order this version would be no surprise. Leahy previously pointed out that in some cases lessors can move quicker than airlines.
