I got a new camera the other day so naturally the only way to test it was to go planespotting. With the summer solstice only last week I figured now would be the best time to see the evening arrivals into Sydney which allowed me to complete my set of A380s flying here since Etihad's A380s only arrive in the evening (on the plus side, the lighting is amazing!). So far I'm really happy with the new camera which has a greater resolution than the old one so I've only cropped and not resized the images I've uploaded so it'll look quite a bit nicer when you zoom in on flickr (+ it's sharper when you zoom in). As the aircraft came in, the engines all suddenly became a bit smokey which lasted for around 10-20 seconds. I've never seen such a modern engine being so smokey in mid flight before except for a UA 772 a while ago. Any idea what causes it? rain/moisture in the atmosphere?
