A leaked radar image shows the aircraft was climbing through FL363 with a ground speed of 353 kts. avherald.com/h?article=47f6abc7&opt=0I'm still hoping that the aircraft has landed somewhere and everyone is ok, as unlikely as it may be.

The last thing that has been reported about that flight is that, while enroute at FL320, thet requested to deviate left and to climb to FL380.
SAR activities will be resumed at sunrise.

R.I.P. lost souls. May this search effort bring closure to those families in great anguish.
I do hope the FDR and CVR were operational during the entire ordeal. A total loss in power supply would complicate investigations.

Gut wrenching images! The unclothed bodies suggest an explosive decompression mid-air, but the aircraft seems to be relatively intact for the most part. The wing still together with the fuselage and a relatively undamaged cockpit. Even the engine looks to be still on the wing and the nose cone is still intact! Looks like a very gentle controlled entry into water. Was it an attempted water ditching??? Edit: Hmm okay...is that authentic footage of the aircraft underwater? The stripes around the nose does not indicate it to be an Air Asia plane.

Not sure here either....
